MoBU International Art Fair

29 May – 2 June 2024 · Bucharest, Romania

My work was shown at MoBU International Art Fair in Bucharest—the largest contemporary art event of its kind in Romania and a leading platform in Central and Eastern Europe. The fair drew collectors, specialists, and the wider public; it was a pleasure to share the booth with new visitors as well as people who already follow the work.

MoBU is built as a meeting place for every strand of living art: traditional disciplines sit alongside visual experiment and research. The program makes room for artist-run spaces, art schools, round tables, artist talks, video screenings, and performative activity—an openness that keeps the fair broad and serious at once.

As art critic and curator Horea Avram put it, MoBU is where collectors, experts, and the public meet the most diverse expressions of contemporary art, from classical approaches to experiment and research—and that mix is what makes the fair, in his words, an unmissable event.

Overall, taking part was a testament to Bucharest’s place on the European art calendar and to the energy of a community that shows up for culture at scale.
